Board Meetings

RSU No. 5 Board of Directors meeting are typically held the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month.  These meetings begin at 6:30 p.m. and are held in the Freeport High School Library.  In addition, meetings are videotaped for broadcast on-line and via Cable TV. The meetings are played on Channel 3 in Freeport on Saturday at 8:00 am; Sunday at 8:00 am and Tuesday at 10:00 am.  The meetings are also played in Durham and Freeport on Educational Channel 14 on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 pm.  DVDs of meetings are available at Pownal Elementary. The calendar posted on our website includes links to the agenda, minutes, and video for each meeting.  We invite and encourage citizens to attend these meetings and participate in the process of creating a high performing and highly efficient program for students and our taxpayers.

If you would like to request adding an item to the agenda, please contact the Board Chair, Nelson Larkins at nlarkins@preti.com or the Superintendent of Schools, Shannon Welsh at welshs@rsu5.org.  The request must be put in writing and received a minimum of seven days prior to the meeting at which the group or individual wishes the item to be addressed by the Board in order for it to be considered for the agenda of that meeting.  The Chair and Superintendent shall make the final decision regarding placement of items on the agenda.
