Physical Therapist (.5 Part Time)
Provide complete continuum of services to students in K-12 who are identified by the IEP Team.  Instructional approaches ranging from consultation with teachers to direct instruction. Experience working in a school setting preferred. Must be licensed in the State of Maine as a Physical Therapist.

CERTIFIED SCHOOL NURSE

.6 Position

Will be responsible for the supervision of two LPN’s to work on the prevention of illness and disability, and the early detection and correction of health problems in accordance with policies and district protocols.   Works as a member of the district health services team within scope of individual training.  Must hold a current license in the State of Maine as a Registered Professional Nurse and be certified as a School Nurse by the Department of Education.  Three years experience as a professional registered nurse.

FREEPORT MIDDLE SCHOOL

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

20 Hours per week

To provide health services according to school board policies and under the direction of the School Nurse and building principal.  Works as a member of the district health services team within scope of individual’s training.   Must have State of Maine LPN license, Certified for Advanced First Aid Training and CPR.   Minimum of two years nursing experience, school setting preferred.

POWNAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE

20 Hours per week

GRADES 6-8 FOR RSU No. 5

MUST HAVE MAINE STATE ELA CERTIFICATION, PREVIOUS CLASSROOM LITERACY EXPERIENCE NEEDED, MASTERS IN LITERACY PREFERRED. PREVIOUS COACHING OF TEACHERS PREFERRED.

WILL WORK WITH MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS IN DURHAM AND FREEPORT TO HELP INCREASE LITERACY IN THE CONTENT AREA.  THIS WILL BE DONE THROUGH MODELING, CO-TEACHING, PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND SUPPORT DURING LESSON PREPARATIONS.  WILL WORK WITH OTHER DISTRICT LITERACY STRATEGIST AND CURRICULUM DIRECTOR.
